How to Send an Anonymous Email

If you need to protect your identity when sending information, follow the steps below to create and use an anonymous email account. This helps ensure your message cannot be traced back to you.

1. Choose a Privacy-Focused Email Service

Select a secure, anonymous email provider. We recommend: ProtonMail, Tutanota, or SimpleLogin. These services do not require personal information and are designed to protect your privacy.

2. Avoid Using Personal Devices

For maximum anonymity, avoid using your personal phone, home computer, or work device. If possible, use a public computer or a device that cannot be linked to you.

3. Use a Private Internet Connection

Do not use your home or work Wi-Fi. Instead, connect through: a public network (such as a library or café), or a trusted VPN service that hides your real IP address.

4. Create Your Anonymous Email Account

When signing up, do not enter your real name, phone number, or any identifying details. Choose a username that does not reveal anything personal.

5. Compose Your Message Carefully

When writing your email, avoid including information that could identify you unless you are comfortable sharing it. Do not attach files that contain metadata (such as names, locations, or device details) unless you have removed or sanitized that information.

6. Send Your Message

Once you have written your message and reviewed it for identifying information, send it from your anonymous account. You may send it directly to:
